Inspiring South Australian Women’s Award

The Member for Stuart, Dan van Holst Pellekaan MP is pleased to advise nominations are open for the newly named Inspiring South Australian Women’s Award.

The award (previously known as Women Hold Up Half the Sky Award) acknowledges the outstanding contribution of women in the community and Mr van Holst Pellekaan says there are many extremely dedicated and capable women in the electorate of Stuart who would be very worthy nominees.

“We previously had an award commendation from our electorate in Lisa Lumsden from Port Augusta who was recognised for her invaluable contribution to the local community.

“It would be wonderful to have another woman from our electorate receive an award and I would strongly encourage people to consider nominating someone you know makes an important contribution to their community.”

The Award categories are:

  • Inspiring SA Women’s Award
  • Emerging Leader’s Award

Nominees must be:

  • Australian Citizen
  • Work and reside in South Australia
  • Have made an extraordinary contribution to the community

Selection criteria:

  • Achievement in their field
  • Contribution to the community
  • Acting as an inspirational role model
